Israel's first bobsled team is set to compete in the Milan Cortina Winter Games. The team includes a diverse group of athletes, such as a pole-vaulter, sprinter, and former Olympian in skeleton.

Figure skater Scott Hamilton, a Franklin resident, won a gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics. Other athletes with Tennessee connections include figure skater Janet Lynn and bobsledder Hakeem Abdul-Saboor. Nashville Predators players Filip Forsberg, Roman Josi and Juuse Saros are competing for their respective nations.
