Generally, people with higher IQs are likely to be creative, but there's actually more to it than IQ, and it also depends on how you choose to define creativity. Openness to experience, one of the personality traits defined in the Big Five personality model, can be dissected into two aspects: intellect and openness. Intellect is the personality reflection of intelligence and is associated with an interest and fluency in abstract ideas. Open people are also intelligent, but they have an additional appreciation for aesthetic experiences.
